Welcome to my blog. My name is Sonny, I am the Project Director of AMHA.
For most visitors who are reading this, you have probably never heard nor seen me before, but to those who do recognise me within my local community, it may be a surprise to find out about what i have been upto and read my awareness story for Autism and Mental Health.
Being that this project is my creation, I have decided to create the first regular blog and begin sharing my story with you over the coming weeks and months, aswell as keep you upto date on the progress of AMHA as we get ever nearer to our official launch date which I will announce before the summer.
This blog will not just be about official announcements and upcoming features, AMHA has been a difficult journey for me, as i have mentioned throughout this site, I am Autistic, and i am also actively recovering from very severe mental health issues and physical disabilities at the same time as all of this which not many people realise.
AMHA is very much apart of my story, i felt it was important to document my time developing this project and share with you my thoughts, struggles, achievements, my bad and good days, the obstacles and exciting developments as they come my way. Like all aspects of my life, my autism and mental health have affected the way i have developed and designed AMHA. I want those who visit this site to realise there is a real human being behind this project and not a corporate front running the show.
Just in case anyone is wondering while roaming AMHA, the promise of amazing new stories from different backgrounds and groups in the from of mix media is coming your way very soon. We are not ready to publish the main story section of the website just yet which will include articles, blogs, videos and art, along with help and support links and resources,
All will be revealed very soon!
For now you will have to put up with me : )
