Ok so I promised to keep a regular blog a few weeks ago, unfortunately due to my physical health, I got a little distracted as I needed to rest and recover after some minor surgery which will hopefully help in my mobility.
Since i have been stuck in doors going crazy for the last week or so, it has given me a chance to sit and sort out some of the more creative areas of the site which have yet to be completed.
As you might have noticed visiting today, we have a new piece of artwork for our landing page based on Kerby Rosanes Doodle Pen Art. It is not quite finished yet with some final touches to come, but it is the start of much to come.

The landing page, much like the logo, has been a very challenging area to complete as it will be part of AMHA's identity and branding. Our regular visitor may have noticed we have gone through quite a few temporary backgrounds while I was putting something together. Like every aspect of this site, the design was very important to me. I didnt want any old background of some random landscape, i wanted it to show imagination, creativity and attract the public's attention from the moment the site loads.
Having an art background, I felt it was really important to infuse imagination throughout this project, I want those who dont understand Autism or Mental Health to realise just how creative and imaginative we all can be, now im not saying this applies to everyone, we are all different and thats what makes the world go round. But the amount of creativity i have seen working with those on the Autistic Spectrum, or observing art therapy classes for those with mental health, so many of us are bursting amazing ideas, escaping into a fantasy world, whether thats painting, drawing, creating animation, playing video games, or sculptural art, or even with other hobbies or skills like woodwork, gardening etc... I have seen so many fantastic, out of the box thinking from our community, and its something i want to showcase as part of AMHA.
Over time i hope to add more artwork content to the site, if you have an idea and would like to add it to a specific part of AMHA, please get in touch using our contact form. We would like to hear from you.
