Hi, My name is Jenny, im 20 years old and from Derbyshire. I was diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome at the age of 13 along with several other related conditions. At first, I struggled to accept it. I’d see other people who were autistic and thought the doctor had somehow got it wrong with me. But I slowly realised that everybody with Asperger’s was not the same.​

Living with Asperger’s can have its challenges, but it’s part of who I am and doesn’t make me any less than anyone else. I’m working with AMHA to challenge misconceptions of the condition and show others who have it that they shouldn’t feel ashamed.
